Forums - Nintendo - It's rather sad, no?

The Gamecube was one of my favorite consoles and had such an amazing variety of games. Pikmin, Metroid, Zelda (Hell, three Zelda games), Resident Evil, Animal Crossing, and I even liked the Starfox. It's really sad that only ~20 million people were lucky enough to experience it.

Anyone here own a Gamecube and agree? If do you disagree and if so, why? Please don't say that it was an epic fail with no reason. Also, anyone who didn't own a Gamecube...do you wish you did? Are you going to get a Wii and get Gamecube games? What are you going to do?

I never owned a GC, but the first thing I did after I bought the Wii was pick up some of the games you mentioned for cheap. I might get some of the others you mentioned as well, like Picmin or Animal Crossing.

Also, I know there is Windwaker and Twighlight Princess, what is the other Zelda game?

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

 Fourswords Adventure.

Public perception, public perception. That's what's killed the GC's chances. You can have loads of good games, but if the console itself doesn't appear to be cool for the public, their games can't really help the console.

Bleh. I'm glad I was young when I got it and didn't give a damn what it looked like. If it worked and played games, I got it.

Edit: Well, I still don't care what it looks like. =P

Thanks!  I wasn't aware of that one, guess I'll have to check it out now.

I've had these consoles: NES, SNES, N64, PS1, Sega Saturn, GC, PS2, X360 and Wii. + Game Boy Color ;)

And I have to say that GC is my favorite console of all time. GC has so many amazing games, and it had best split-screen multiplayer games what I enjoyed playing with my friends. Wii games are shit when comparing to GC-games. :)

I don't bother listing my last-gen games (PS2, Xbox, GC) to my collection cause there's too many of them. ;)

No problem! I highly suggest it! It's a great game and controls very well. And if you happen to have some GBA connectors and well...friends...have them over and play it with you. Nintendo took multiplayer and Zelda and made a pretty good game.

The GameCube is my 2nd favorite console of all time. Wii is my favorite.
