To put it bluntly, this interface iz teh suxxorz. I mean, it is a horrible interface. It does what it needs to do, somewhat well, but it's horrible. if you have more than twelve channels the new channels spill over into the next page (up to 4) and so on.


lol, you're absolutely right. I hate the fact that I can't sort my VC games per console. I want to put all my SNES games in a single folder, instead of having to search for them in my channels.

 

 

I have mine all organized.  A row of SNES games, Genesis games, TurboGrafx games, etc.  The interface isn't perfect, but it does what it's supposed to do--offer an clean, intuitive set-up for gaming noobs.

Holy crap. I did not know that. I wanted to get Light Crusader off my front page because that game is absolutely horrible.

I know how to move channels around on individual pages but how do you move channels between pages!?

OMG I love you! I didn't know that you could organize your channels!!!! Mine are all there in purchase order and I even have some empty channels on my first page 'cause I had to delete some for memory space.

I'm going to sort them right now!

I have the nyko charge station and a charge lasts me easily 14+ hours

Maybe they updated the pack, the charge packs I got were the first ones they released - packs that had a wire that you connected to the wii's usbs.

Charged overnight, they'd be dead after 4 hours tops.

Can't remember for sure but I think you just move it to the plus or minus button on each page.

I suggest the rayovac hybrids. They come charged...and I rarely have to charge them. It's 9.99 for 2 AA's and teh charger (plus it comes with 2 AAA's). $ packs of AA's are also 9.99.

And if you're smart you take the charger to work, school, the park....and charge the batteries there.

Also.....

There is a glaring omission of VC console goodness in this thread.

And as far as everything being on the first page.....you can move things around....plus the next page is just a plus or minus button away.

Why all the Channel interface hate?  It's similar to a computer desktop, where you just point at the application you want, and click.  You can organize them however, you want, too.  I have all the Wii Channels (Game, Mii, Photo, Shop, Nintendo, Internet, Mario Kart,  *ahem*homebrew*cough*) on the first page, N64 page 2, assorted 16-bit systems on page 3, and NES games page 4.  I don't have any WiiWare yet, but that'll probably share with NES, since I only have one of those games (Zelda).  The only thing I would like added is some sort of folder system, but it's still great as-is.



Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Good and unbiased review. About the online infrastructure, Wii codes aren't that bad, it's a pain to add a friend, but you only have to do it once. Game friend codes are much worse, as each game has it's own code and friend list... They really have to make all games use the Wii address book. And they should unlock the SD card to play games directly from it.
