Blah, should have not seen that video. Now I am not interested in this game any more. Another blue dragon.. :(

Why not?

Seriously, I'm seeing too much negativity on this game from 360 owners. >_>

@sc

Umm...no :P

According to wikipedia a teenager is somebody who is going through adolecent changes. Most people don't stop these changes until after 18 if they are a male, and well before that if they are a female. So why wouldn't that be clasified as a teen. If we go by your definition that when you turn 13 you are a teen, then after you turn 20 you aren't a teen anymore.

Also I bet the answer that Kurakasa will give you is that it isn't "mature"enough.

Now are you calling me a teenager because I don't like visuals on some games? Or is there another reason for you to post that kind of stuff?

edit:

Oh, now I see. Sorry about that. :D

Why do some people hate anime? Name one thing that is wrong anime or an anime styled game like ToV

A teen is between 13 and 19. So it means there are 3 teens, 1 pre-teen and 2 very young adults... let's not even forget the fact that pretty much any of them could pass as a 14-16 year old teen because of how they look, and no one would get suspicious.

A teenager is between 12-16. From 16 to 18 you´re an adolescent. 19 is considered adult. No most of them don´t pass for teens, you´re getting confused by the graphical style that you´re not used to.

Now, as far as the whole "save ..." notion, it´s an integral part of all RPGs. This is from where excitement and eventually epic-ness arouses. It could be the more conventional "save the world" with various variations like "save your tribe", " save the universe", "save yourself and frieds", "save your country" along with other similar notions like "regain ..." which is similar to "save ..." . The only distinctive part there could be is in RPGs giving you the option of "destroying ..." the contrary of "save ...".

I could ask you the same thing. Why do some people like anime? :D Really, I just don't like it.

You know...this game is more stylized than it is anime. Personally I think it has its own style but not really anime. Do you like any other JRPGs though?

Yeah, I loved Lost Odyssey.  I want more of that stuff and soon. :D

it's simple, really:

engaging stories

characters we can relate to

some have plenty of humor

some have exciting action

others have both

@Blacksaber, I have blue dragon too. I don't like them that much.

@riachu

Ok, you can relate to anime characters. I don't. I also don't find them funny or interesting. Not that I've seen a lot of them. Action? Now I could be really wrong about this, but is that like those pokemon battles? :D

well Riachu....I love anime....but here ya go

1. alot of anime is very shallow and just a means to show some girls panties (i.e. Strike Witches, where girls where these rockets on their legs, which apparently bar them from wearing pants, and when they put the rockets on their legs they all sprout cat ears and tails....I mean c'mon)

2. cultural differences, alot of dislike towards the medium can arise from just differences in taste, and certain plot elements in Anime that are assumed known but that don't really carry over to the American audience.

3. overuse of teen protaganits: most animes use teens as their focus, because that's the audience they are really trying to appeal to (there are notable exceptions however)

4. perceived nerdiness: Anime is thought of as hugely nerdy, so some dislike it simply because they do not want to be grouped into that fanbase of nerds. (personally I have embraced my nerdiness....but not everyone is so enlightened :P)

5. lack of exposure to good anime (such as appears to be the case with Kurakasa)

It does have a distinctive style, but it still is an integral part of anime. There are different styles of anime (visually) and Tales animation fits to one of those.
