A while ago my PS3 died on me, and after trying everything to fix it, I sent it in to Sony.

Now, 8 freakin weeks later, I finally got my PS3 with the mail! I got a free Sixaxis controller with it for the long wait, which is pretty good service in my opinion. However, 8 weeks is just too damn much!

Next week I'm buying Metal Gear, GTA and Civizilation Revolution. Well, at least one of them.

@Dolla Dolla - well no, that wouldn't explain it really. I got a replacement 60 GB PS3 a couple of months ago when GTA IV's freezing caused my original PS3 to brick, and that took a matter of days.

yeah, my 60 GB overheated because I forgot to clean the intake vents and the time from ordering the coffin to getting the new PS3 was less than 12 days. Maybe you just got unlucky...

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
