I personally can not find another FF that had a story as well played out as FFVI did, but if I was to choose another it would definitely be FFIX.

eh... FF7 or FF12.

Hard to say cause i never got through 12.

Both were REALLY bad though.

The difference between a bad story like FF12's and a bad story like say... Mario Galaxy's is at least Mario Galaxy's story is short.

FF1 has a better story then 7 or 12 because there basically is none.

Chrono Cross had a REALLY bad story too... but mostly because they tied what seemed to be a completely unrelated RPG in to Chrono Trigger and as such created all sort of plot point issues, mistakes and incongruences.

Left as it's own game unrelated to Chrono Trigger it would been average.
