An original box costs, what? 5 dollars now? It is worth getting, the last gen systems are still far superior in terms of game library and gear and services. As long as the big three insist on skimping on the BC components, I guess we'll have to own old consoles as well.

The big three aren't skimping on BC, at least Nintendo isn't.
As far as BC goes:
Wii > 360 > PS3.
The Wii is fully compatible with Gamecube games (except for networked games I believe). Two of the available 360 models have partial compatibility with Xbox games. Some of the PS3 models have great BC, but they're not available anymore (or in the case of Europe, they never were).

The only problem I had with it was that it was kind of bland sometimes (too much gray) and the auto aim fps parts got kind of frusterating. I also hated the level were you have to fight endless waves of T'lan in their base. But, the story was sooooo good, I chose the ending where go you to the alt. dimension with that girl. Heres hoping for a sequel.

I keep hoping for a Wii sequel with Wii-mote/Nunchuk fighting and pointer aiming (how AWESOME would that be?). Unfortunately, I believe you and I have the only two copies sold.
