I respectfully disagree because the Wii offers little more than the usual Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Smash Bros. games that Nintendo have been making for years. I've played many previous iterations of each of those franchises and I do not wish to continue doing so, I want some new franchises to enjoy.

I beat most games in one sitting regardless how long it takes. The length of the game was annoying and yeah I had a guide which I printed off for assistance to help get all the stars.

Yeah, I agree. My gaming life wasn't complete until I got a wii.

 I love playing the Wii for long periods of time. The only reason I plan on grabbing a 360 really is for a few fighting games I would like to play. The Wii is primarily a single player console for me, and is the main one for me.

When friends are over and all of you are plastered, you need nothing more than a PS3 packaged with Guitar Hero and Singstar.

Karaoke while trashed is a fun time.

I would try the Wii + Wiisports, but to be honest Nintendo didn't ship mine back with the console. :(

No definitely not. Billions of people have perfect lives without owning any console let alone 2.

On the other hand every console gamer needs a Wii and possibly a PS3 or 360. I only have a Wii for now. Waiting to see what Capcom brings to the Wii on Resident Evil. If nothing then I will have to get one of the HD consoles for RE5. However, after playing RE4 Wii I really don't want to have to go back to a regular controller to play a RE game.
