No definitely not. Billions of people have perfect lives without owning any console let alone 2.
On the other hand every console gamer needs a Wii and possibly a PS3 or 360. I only have a Wii for now. Waiting to see what Capcom brings to the Wii on Resident Evil. If nothing then I will have to get one of the HD consoles for RE5. However, after playing RE4 Wii I really don't want to have to go back to a regular controller to play a RE game.
