Good interview. I know that they can´t for target demographic reasons, but I would really like the moral choices that you had in 1 and 2, that would affect you for the rest of the game.
But, I still really want to play this game.

How does this game play?
Similar to Oblivion? I have not tried the other games, would it be smart to play them before playing this one?
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

From what I´ve heard, pretty much. They said, that they´re really working for the 3rd person view to work (which I prefer), but I don´t know.

^ Awesome!!
I would love to play Oblivion in 3rd person, if they can pull that off in Fallout 3 and I get the option for both it will be a day 1 for me. Provided I enjoy the previous two of course.
Only time 3rd person worked well in Oblivion is if you played a hack and slash character or when you are riding Shadowmere, or any horse for that matter.

I higly recommend Fallout 1 and 2 for you. Two of my favorite games ever. The thing is they´re about 10 years old and with an isometric view. I absolutely loved it though.

Similar to Oblivion with a little more focus on ranged combat such as firearms.
Pete Hines, Bethesda:
"In Oblivion the most extreme example is the bandits, who's armour keeps going up and up as you're playing through the game. Suddenly they've got glass armour and amazing weapons. It was an obvious thing that didn't feel right."
lol, I remember when I encountered bandits with glass armor the first time. I was like WTF? But it was kinda funny too. I loved to collect glass items and fill all my houses with it.
Hated oblivion so much >.

Whether or not you enjoy the first 2 fallouts will be immaterial as it seems this game isn't going to be anything like them.
Just picture a post apocolyptic Morrowind with more focus on guns.
Well probably. My Fallout characters were always Melee masters... but i think i was the exception not the norm.
Fallout plays basically like a freeroaming SRPG. You all over the map and when you enter combat mode a grid comes on to the screen and it takes action points to do everything.
No random encounters or that crap, it's all on the screen... and it gives you choices and consequences games like Oblivion and Morrowind could only dream of.
