I would love to play Oblivion in 3rd person, if they can pull that off in Fallout 3 and I get the option for both it will be a day 1 for me. Provided I enjoy the previous two of course.
Only time 3rd person worked well in Oblivion is if you played a hack and slash character or when you are riding Shadowmere, or any horse for that matter.
