ps3 whoever at a cheaper price will get a large boost if sony can get them to know about it blu ray + media center capabilities.
xbox360 unless a blu ray player it won't be able to do that, its already cheaper than both the wii and ps3 in europe and japan, both japanese consoles been outselling it for a while.
Thats gonna take a long time I think. By then the Wii should be also be really cheap. If the PS3 does reach that price point than.......lucky bastards who wait.

Contradiction. I believe you want to go with Could Not unless you do think it would spark a sudden interest which would then contradict everything else you've said.
personally i think the ps3 price could have a major impact but we will see. It also depends a lot on the other consoles. If everything remained like this and the ps3 dropped then yes major boost... but it probably wont .. so we shall see !

The PS3 and 360 won't slow the Wii's sales, but they will both have increases in their own sales obviously. I hope the PS3 gets down to that price soon so that it'll be feasible for me to pick one up.

By that time it wouldn't matter. And remember the Wii has struck a major core with casual and young gamers. Something the ps3 and 360 just doesn't have to their advantage. Unless the Wii stops after 5-7 years and the ps3 keeps going like the ps2 and ps1 did [even thought they didn't need to since they were already dominating in sales] the Wii has the generation owned....

nothing will happen to Wii as it will be too popular by that time, and also cheaper....
(not to mention Xbox360 is already around there and Ps3 price can't go much lower as it will be painful for Sony!!)
