Forums - General - What Anti-Virus program do you use?

Just curious, what do yall like to use?  I've had Norton before and I've never been a big fan and I have Trend Micro on my other laptop and it seems like it just eats up a lot of my resources on my already slow computer.

My subscriptions have been out for a while on this laptop so I figure I should probably get something and I can't just renew the subscription to the one I have now (McAfee) because it was never actually mine, it was the schools.

So what do yall suggest?  I keep looking around at reviews but they seem all over the place on what is good and what isn't.

Norton, and I've been doing just fine with it.

However once I get my macbook I won't have to worry about that!

avast 4.0 : free and much better than norton

Also forgot to say that I was looking at AVG. I do enjoy free and it seems to fairly consistently get good reviews.

Nothing. I'm one of those people that think it's actually just a huge conspiracy to make you waste your money for no apparent reason.

Technically, according to every anti-virus program, every single computer should have that same Win32.pyrite virus. Weird thing is nothing ever happened to my computers (and I've owned 4 of them in my entire life).

I'm good with a pop-up blocker though (Firefox + Ad-Block Plus)... but the anti-virus software itself, meh. :/

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

BitDefender Total Security 2008 the best one out

Eset smart security, evolution of nod32, which I have been using for years now. Never had any problems.

Linux. It doesn't have any known wild viruses.
