Forums - PC - To quit or wait (WoW)

I been playing WoW for 2 years (off and on) and got really sick of the game when I started raiding BT/Hyjal 5 months ago and pvp got tedious as well (damn arena druid). I recently started my account again and am still bored of the game. But then there was some new spell/talent announced and I was really interested (druids get a bunch of buffs - need the nerf bat) but I fear that it will be a waste of time of grinding and more raiding and again tedious pvp, but I won't realize it till months after the expansion comes out that o its the same all over again gg. Just considering to sell the account to be rid of it and maybe use the cash to purchase a console(already own the wii :D) or upgrade my pc. Suggestions?

hell if you can sell your account for that kind of cash, do it man, do it.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I sold my original account 1.5 years ago for 250 dollars. My second account 9 months ago for 375 dollars. This account probably can get 300-400?

i sold my account a year ago for 300 euros, yes, euros. I have been enjoying life ever since.

Edit : the guy was from the united arabian emirates, so he was obivously rich and didn't care for the amount. (lucky me)

If you are bored with the game, simply don't play it. A new talent will not make the game more fun for you it seems. If anything, give it a rest for a while, cancel your account, and come back when Wrath of the Lich King comes out.

Are you a druid? If so you're OP and should be very happy with your class choice.

To be honest there really isn't much left to do until the WOTLK comes out, asides from perhaps rading SP and getting a full brutal set.

Some players have just started leveling their alts to 70's.

If WoW has too much control over your life, or you're really not finding it entertaining anymore, then I think you should definetly sell your account.

Otherwise, you could just cancel it, and wait until WOTLK launches to renew it.

I too stopped playing WOW about a month before Age of Conan came out. The game got boring for me as well. Arenas kinda killed the pvp for me even tho we got to around an 1800 rating at one point. Our raiding kinda fizzled out in Black Temple as people started leaving so I just quit altogether and im not sure if i'll go back after the expansion. If u can sell your account for a fair amount of money go for it. Im sure someone would like to have a character as progressed as yours. If you plan on playing any other MMOs on your PC i'd upgrade it or take your pick from the HD consoles. Though no one is sure how they will work out but Xbox 360 has 3-4 MMOs coming out in the next year including Age of Conan and Huxley. If MMOs are your thing i'd at least read up on some of them. Of course there is the PS3 and blue-ray...I don't envy you :P

I don't know, what do you like doing more (console or PC)?

Also, how much would you have to upgrade?

I'll just do a quick breakdown off the top of my head.

360 - initially cheaper than PS3, but you have to pay for Xbox Live and stuff like a hard drive (Arcade or upgrading to a 180gig HDD) or the dongle for wireless internet can be a little on the expensive side. Oh, don't forget that many of it's top games will be coming out to PC if they haven't already and others would be likely to come to the PC too (ex - Gears of War, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Lost Planet, Halo 3, Fable 2 ect).

PS3 - More expensive than the 360, but it's feature list is nice for a media hub (blu-ray, video, music, and pictures). Upgrading your hard drive can be done with nearly any 2.5" HDD (5400 RPM would be recommended) which is much cheaper per gig than it is for the 360 (ex - $180 for 120gigs). Also, I would recommend an 80gig with backwards compatibility if you're interested in a PS3 and PS1/2 games. Also, you have free online and the ability to use nearly any bluetooth headset to communicate with people online.

PC - Has your online and many of the great games that are gracing the consoles. You haven't mentioned your specs so I don't know what else I can say.

Sell you account and upgrade your PC.

There are lots of good PC games coming out, and games you might have missed over the past 2 years while paying Wow.

You should just sell it and move on. Hell I was in BT and I just quit without selling my account, so you'll have even more of an incentive to go through with it then I did.

Raiding is rough, it's alot like a job. A fun job with all your friends talking shit the whole way, but still a job.
