Go ahead tell us what makes XBL so much better?

@gbex

Now you cant accept sony has 10 million registered PS3 consoles to the PSN?

I accept the fact that sony has 10 million registered accounts on PSN.. I also accept the fact that you can register mutliple accounts

Now can you accept that registered accounts and registered consoles are totally different??

the same could be said about the number of registered LIVE accounts. There are a ton of people using multiple accounts due to bans, etc.

Why does leo-j try to argue that PSN is lag free, implying that LIVE somehow has problems with lag? I have been playing on LIVE since 360 came out, and I have never had a problem with lag.

Wasn't there a huge problem with BOTH COD4 and Warhawk when it came to online play when both were first released? Not only with lag, but various other issues like getting booted from servers or losing your XP (or whatever it is called) in Warhawk? Didn't they have to come out with an update for Warhawk to fix these issues? Now those are just two games that had problems that I can remember, but I know there are others. Formula1 was an absolute lagfest when it first came out, and pretty much every time I tried to play it online (I have since not even attempted to play online). Pretty much any game that comes out for both consoles that I plan on going online with I purchase for 360, simply because I enjoy the live experience MUCH MORE than PSN. I still can't stand the PSN API either...LIVE is just so much more intuitive it seems like.

Currently Playing:

PS4 - Killzone:SF and Assasins Creed 4

XBox One: BF4, CoD:Ghosts, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5

Changing channels with my voice: priceless!!!

Because 90% of demos released on PSN are delayed or don't even make it

That sentence actually doesn't make any sense.

How can a demo released on the PSN, not make it?

It's like saying "90% of the people who left the burning building were burned on the way out, or didn't make it out at all."

Anyway, On Topic: I personally think the only areas Xbox Live currently has an advantage in over the PSN is cross-game chat, and cross-game invites.

Both of which features I fully expect Sony will implement down the line.

Because M$'s Live API is far more comprehensive and well designed than Sony's PSN API.

So the DASHBOARD won an emmy award?

Becuase the XMB did.

LOL...I take it you do not know what an API is.

The only thing it has over the PSN is this:

Cross game invites/IN GAME VOICE CHAT

Thats it,  There's more such as Video

we already have everything else, and by E3 the VDL service.

We also have better online gameplay(less lag) I've never had lag on Xbox live
An internet browser I got three PCs/laptops, I've got a Nokia N82, I've got a PSP, which ALL has browsers and Internet
Information board Depends on what. Xbox Live has information, updates, inside xbox, etc.
Soon to be released weather service for PSN Unless it's related to game, does anyone care about weather? You have an integreated browser in your PS3, right? www.weather.com
and a better achivement system(but only 2 games currently out supports the trophies, by end of the month should go up significantly) Better is an opinion. Some prefer the three level tier and level up system, some people like simple numeric achievement points

Dude, do you even own an Xbox360? How can you compare Live to PSN when you never USE it.

Why don't you leave the comparison to people who have both systems huh?

Actually I dont own it, and those that are bashing the PSN dont own a ps3 neither.

Im taking the comparison from "Evilman278" which was banned from this site, he owns both of the consoles, I know exactly how XBOX LIVE works as well.

I do own both.  XBL is one of the main reasons why all the multiplatform games I own, I own for the 360.  I haven't been impressed with PSN from the start.  2.40 is a nice advancement but the interface still needs work to make it flow better.  It is hard to describe but I just like the way the XBL interface works from the friends lists to the voice chat to the matchmaking.  PSN has certainly improved but the main problem it has is that Sony didn't think it was going to have to really compete with XBL so they didn't spend as much time on the online component.  Even though they have made many improvements, it won't be until the PS4 when you see a true integration.  The problem being that completely changing the online strategy of a console is extremely difficult after launch.  The only thing PSN has that that XBL doesn't is that Sony published games generally come with dedicated servers.

I give that post a 9.3.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

No you guys are right! I need another bill! Sony please make me pay for PSN I don't have enough bills! Ugh! Please get this $50 out of my face please help me lord M$! Oh god they're comming for me the $50 notes! Oh god nooooo!

 XMB is an API now?

Maybe you should try to find out what an API really is before you talk about it.

That's a piss poor arguement. There are some people who just registered for the month free gold membership. There are also a shit ton of people who recieved free gold membership with their refurbed consoles that were sent it for repair..... you think all of those guys kept paying for the service?

Urm, Live has over 10 million active PAID accounts at the moment.
