Just ordered Heavenly Sword... it's on the way...

I would not have bought that game. It's a fantastic game... for 8 hours of play or so. That game is a must play, but a rental for me.

Sorry, I meant rented it... I signed up for gamefly since I'm in Austin and that is where the distribution place is... 1 day there and back. I loved COD4 but I hated paying 60 bucks for a 4 hour game. Never again. I'll rent. If I like it, I'll buy it. Those that take a long time to play, I'll buy cheap and then trade in...

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Well then you better give your wife her gift. Come saturday, she is going to wonder why you got a PS3 game in the mail :)

congratz on your purchase hoping to talk the missus into buying me one early next year.
the price is still a little high unfortunateley neither of us are that big into movies to convince us that br is a selling point.
anyway enjoy it. it now means you will not have to wait around for any game you wish to play.

Austin? Tanks 4 givin me a reason 2 restart my gamefly!!!!!

Hey, Mad... Apparently Austin is their latest disty center. Everything should more or less be one day away... We'll see I guess.

I made her open it. I went through the whole friggin setup and install for the first time and set up online. Sheesh. She messed around with Singstar a bit but it was late. I'm still messing with it, though.

First major gripe: Why the fu*k didn't they include at least a component cable? A cable only capable of SD in the box? I didn't have a spare HDMI but my Wii has a universal component I got from gamestop so I used that and managed to get it up and running. I'm going to have to spend more money to hook it up. That sucks.

Outside of that, this little black box oozes hi-tech quality... I'll review it when I've had some time with it. Right now I'm watching snake consume a carton while it installs, lol. That dude needs to try the patch or something.

Don't you mean, "yes,Yes i got a PS3 :D

Heavenly Sword is a tad on the violent side. Its not God of War, or Conan, or Viking, etc. but its bloody, and there's plenty of hewing and impaling. I don't play it around my own daughters, but they aren't 10 yet -- maybe I'll feel different then.  That games biggest flaw is that I (and I think most people who played it) wanted more -- lots more.  I felt like I had just started getting into it, and then it was over.

Lair is decent... I actually preferred it with the Sixaxis, over the new patch for the stick. Its more of a show than a game (its more about learning the missions than having any gameplay skills, IMO), but its a fun show (if you like breathing fire, eating soldiers, and toppling big war beasts, which I find entertaining), and probably worth it for the price you can get it at these days.

Uncharted is awesome. Ratchet & Clank is awesome. MGS4 is awesome.

Resistance looked pretty nice, but otherwise seemed sorta generic, to me.  I don't think I would get it if I were you, given your description of being burnt out on shooters.

Folklore is awesome, too, if you like console RPGs -- I saw this one really cheap (used) at the local games store the other day and wondered how it could even be sitting there at that price.

MGS 4 the best game and PS3 the best console. Great purchase. Enjoy.
