Media Stigma

Anyone else notice the gaming media is beginning to sing a different tune?

I remember you couldn’t go on N4G… ever without a “How the Wii is doomed” article listed, has the attention to such articles dissolved to the point where they aren’t major click receivers?

But I would be lying if I said it went away… a forum user here actually burst out in frustration from the FUD for Xbox360 on this site and demanded Big Brother enforce his point of view, recently I went onto the general news section of N4G and saw 1120 degrees on an article named: “Xbox360 glory days are over.” I suffered myself to read the thing and found the format for this writing to be eerily similar to most other FUD articles.

The sad thing is these articles stigmatize people. Since people relate to right and wrongs fairly well I’ll attempt to point some of them out.

Wrong: Referring the quality of your game(s) in contrast to how well it sold.

Right: Referring the quality of your game by how much you enjoyed it.

Wrong: Hating another system because it supports an exclusive you liked.

Right: Ignore what you apparently can’t have; in this case ignorance is bliss. There were always games that you didn’t own that are quality – that you would of loved, but your probably ignorant to them.

Those are simple points I appreciate, gaming has become weird… or gamers.

Articles like the one quoted about Xbox360 are very much the black pussing rotting germ infested maggot hive of gaming. But people love reading them... what is value?

Ok...I think I just need to stay away from your threads. They make my head hurt.

I pick topics I don't understand, hence the reason of why I posted this is to understand the topic. My question is in the content of what I read; to get the responses I'm looking for I word what I don't understand in a way that dilutes the content of what I originally saw in other words making it obvious.

The point is to leave the obvious - obvious, and the question inconspicuous.

Erm...what?

I see that you are from the United Kingdom....but I feel that English is not your primary language.  Perhaps this is a reason for some of the disconnect.  You see...your threads make my head hurt because I can't understand them.  I'm not trying to insult you...but they just don't make any sense.

As for the part I have bolded....it appears that you are stating that you are creating your threads to get certain responses.  That seems a bit manipulative.

At a glance, what I'm saying is what I'm saying. Imagining words is my business; having them work together how I have them working together is my flavor for art.

The 'disconnect' deals with what was presumed intended over what is present. I'm saying that I knew the answers to the some of the content of the original reference but lacked answers for some part's which results in this thread - not that I was: 'creating my threads to get a specific answer' more like I was narrowing the thread down to what I didn't know out of the original content.

As for the method of the OP - even comments can seem like questions and vice versa.

The ineligibility must be pretty low though.. But rereading it I see my points clearly.

Ok...let's start from someplace simple.

Are there typos in your thread title?

This thread is so messed up, I can't do the SFW shorthand: What the fuck?

Yep; but I can't change that now can I, for the record I do change my posts for errors I find after the fact.

Of course I didn't even realize the thread title had an error until you pointed it out to me >.>

I'd preffer to either let this thread die or stay on topic, either way is fine by me - if you have anything else you need to make 'simple' with me then mail me your thoughts - I'll respond as coherantly as possible. Edit- Also if you knew there was an error that means you understood the context - stopping someone in midbreath about something you understood or in this case making a point out of something that wasn't in the context of the quote you posted seems kind of odd. Any way thank's ahead of time.
@DMeisterJ

What is SFW?
