IT'S NOT 200k PREORDERS. That was a number given out by the source in the preliminary threads a while ago based on his 1 retailer. Famitsu reported 170k shipments.

end of core gaming days prediction:

 

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

let's just say it's 170K shipped.

 

170K shipped... 151K sold.... where's the "supply restrain"?????

i'm not saying they aren't dissapointing. They are dissapointing. Read my original post, i specifically said that they were dissapointing from the beginning. From then on all i've said is there is a possibility that it was supply constrained IF the second shipment did not come. That's all i'm saying, i'm not even saying it's gonna have a significant impact. The legs are probably not gonna be very good either way. Don't twist my words.

I'm surpirsed at the HW boost the Wii got, close the 20k I think. PS3 holding ok and 360 even doing "better". Come to think of it, everyone got a boost except PSP (but its sales remain excellent) and PS3 (but it is still selling way better than 3 weeks ago), any reason for this HW boost (Tales for the Wii I guess, but DS and 360?)?
