As for another games outselling Halo 3 on a single platform(if that platform isn't the DS and Wii-Play doesn't count)?

Certainly could happen with Brawl, Kart, Galaxy, or Fit. Those games, like Halo, move major software and have long legs. It's very likely some title could also appear with mega-legs like Fit for the 360, Wii, or PS3 sometime in the future, a game like CoD4 that could come out of nowhere and demolish sales expectations.

That said, however, Halo 3 is the game to beat for single console sales this gen, and it as likely as not, it could hold that record.

That said, I think Kart will beat it soundly when all is said and done, but I'm biased.

GT5 will sell more than this so get to hyped over it beng the best selling non bundled game excluding the DS.

but saying that sony will probs bundle GT5 so i will say FFXIII but sony will probs bundle that aswell so you probs right.

How can you call Wii play a bundled game? Does it come with a console or not. If the extra controller is a feature to stop wii play being counted then you will have to rule out wii fit and mario kart as well.

Well, I think wii fit goes as a bundled game(cheap game with expensive peripheral). But that is just me. Mario kart is a game that comes with a 5$ peripheral.

Actually I believe you can buy wii play $10 cheaper without the controller.

Halo 3 is the best selling game this generation if you

-Don't count DS games.

-Don't count Wii sports (fair).

-Don't count Wii play for some reason.

-Don't wish to count anything with a peripheral like Wii Fit.

-Don't want to count Nintendo games with big legs (SMG, Mario Kart, Brawl... At least 2 of these will eventually outsell Halo 3).

-Don't count 1 game that has come out on several platforms (CoD4 comes to mind).

How do you define bundled? In my opinion its a game that is "bundled" with the console. ie Wii Sports. To class Wii fit as a bundled game is obviously a way to stop games like  Wii fit and wii play being counted.
