Forums - Nintendo - Should Squeenix make a remake of FFVI on the Wii?

I'm kinda torn between thinking this is a good idea and not. The reason is quite simple, in the old Final Fantasy games i.e. 1-6, you kinda had to use your imagination to flesh things out as the graphics were quite basic. If they remake the game the characters will be fleshed out by someone elses imagination. If that isn't enough, rest assured Square's interpretation of the characters will not be pretty....er....actually the men will be so I guess that is kinda of my point.

Well,you say that because you want new JRPGS for the Wii Soriku,but understand that we want a FF6 remake for the Wii because we love this game and we feel like it deserves to be polished to the max,yeah I would not complain if SE get the remake for the PS3 or the 360 but like I said,I feel this belongs to the Wii.

What happened to people blasting square for re-releasing all of their games?

I love square. I'd love a FFVI remake for the Wii. Ideally, I'd prefer it to be on the PS3 because:
A) I own one (no 360 at the moment); and
B) Why not dream for it on the system that could optimize it most (along with 360), seeing as I cannot see motion controls adding much... Edgar's tools could maybe be kinda of neat though

We'll likely see it on the DS, if anywhere though, and you certainly wouldn't hear any complaints from me.

Oops. I actually meant to say Sabin's martial arts, not Edgar's tools... I'm tired.

Theres a thread created here that Squeenix should develop a FFVII remake so I think FFVI was possible.

I just hope they retain the original designs just like in the movie of FFVI anthology...



end of core gaming days prediction:

 

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Nobody is missing with Soriku's opinion,but I LOVE the Final Fantasy franchise and FF6 is the best of the series for me,but how can you understand what I say if you hate the Final Fantasy series?

My opinion got the same value as the one from you.
