Actually... FFVI will be on DS

and if there's gonna be a FFVII remake, according to my theory (something my twisted head came up with and I will post it tonight) it will come to Wii

Which my topic at hand, seem a spinoff game like this one have more final fantasy to it than there main game. Squaresoft WHAT HAPPENED?!! :( FFXIII isnt even feel like Final fantasy anymore :'(

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

I don't want anything to be done to Final Fantasy VI. It's perfect just the way it is.

Chrono Cross was never suppose to be like CT.  It was suppose to be a diifferent experience since they didn't want to me a rehash

For me FFVI was still the best Final fantasy though...

Most of them either A played it as their first rpg, or B haven't played too many rpgs. I could count probably 20 or 30 rpgs imo.

Edit: Also their are people who haven't played it, but are just sony fanboys and say it is the best rpg.

 

 

 It's mostly "A" going by anecdotal evidence (which, incidentally, also applies in large measure to Halo).

YES actually, it is perfect the way it is unless you're a graphics whore. FFVI should not be tampered with--it's as blasphemous as if they remade Super Metroid.  That link contained very dated cinematics that failed to impress.  Obviously the Wii can handle cinematics that look that old.  I'm sure they'll butcher FFVI into some blocky new quest for the DS, but I'd much rather they don't.  The game was perfect on the SNES and no remake will ever be better.  Those aren't "graphical limitations" in even the slightest sense of the term.  FFVI was a gorgeous game back in the 90's and it's still a gorgeous game.

I've got a much better idea for Square-Enix than remaking and potentially butchering a classic title--make a brand new game instead!

I'd love to see a remake of FFVI... on the 360 or PS3 :P As long as the kept the essence of the game intact, between story, characters, and general character & art design, it would be interesting to see a conversion to 3d.

PLUS, then all the people that only ever played FFVII+ would finally play it, and realize how much better it is than Square's recent FF offerings.
