i refuse to buy it if its 3d, they retranslate too much, or they change the combat system too much.
all three of those were near perfect.
im wishing for 3d remake.
ima have to boot up the super nes and go another play through
Owner of all consoles cept DS.....Currently in love with prototype!
How amazingly ironic would it be if this game turned out to be a total disaster?

Well if it is a remake, and the formula isn't changed too much there is no way that it will turn out a disaster. If it is a direct sequel there is a chance, but as long as they keep the roots of the series I think it will be loved as much as the first one.

I'd still give the nod to the PSX

I agree, although I didn't care much for Legend of Dragoon. I'd have a hard time choosing between SNES, PS1 and PS2 (because of all the great SRPG's). DS is fantastic for RPG's, but the majority that I have/am getting are remakes. Nothing wrong with remakes though, FFIV is my most anticipated game this year along with Disgaea 3.
I suppose I'd have to go with the SNES in the end though, Lufia, FF's, SoM and CT certainly remind me of my favourite gaming moments.
Anyhow, this is fantastic news! It'll be interesting to see if they do FFV and VI on the DS as well.
Yippie another remake to add to long list of Square-Enix remakes. Why not just pick back up on Chrono Break?
