I don't think any other system has gotten this many good RPGs period. Even the mighty SNES.

 

I'd still give the nod to the PSX

  • FF 7,8,9
  • FF Chronciles, Anthology and Origins
  • Dragon Warrior VII
  • Breath of Fire III and IV
  • Tales of Destiny 1 and 2
  • Xenogears
  • Suikoden 1 and 2
  • Star Ocean
  • Valkyrie Profile
  • Chrono Cross (or was I not supposed to say that one?)
  • Legend of Dragoon

I agree, although I didn't care much for Legend of Dragoon. I'd have a hard time choosing between SNES, PS1 and PS2 (because of all the great SRPG's). DS is fantastic for RPG's, but the majority that I have/am getting are remakes. Nothing wrong with remakes though, FFIV is my most anticipated game this year along with Disgaea 3.

I suppose I'd have to go with the SNES in the end though, Lufia, FF's, SoM and CT certainly remind me of my favourite gaming moments.

Anyhow, this is fantastic news! It'll be interesting to see if they do FFV and VI on the DS as well.
