I think that's like an oxymoron or whatever they call it nowadays.

Just let people get whatever console they want. Its health for the market.
Im sure whatever games he do get, he can get them on both systems.
And it isent being ignorant, he just want a 360.

In general, Grant (the guy with the 360) isn't dumb whatsoever. In fact, he's alot smarter than myself, and I've always been told I was smart. He works in IT, and just switched majors from Electrical Engineering to C&IT. He even fixes old busted computers, and resells them. So he's not dumb, he just doesn't know about games. He'd be considered dumb if he WAS in the know, and STILL bought a refurb Premium, but he isn't, so seeing it for $200 was a good deal. I'm just mad he didn't listen to me

Like I said before, I went ahead and said go ahead and get a 360...but he was too cheap to get a new one, and I'm just waiting for it to break on him so I can rub it in his face for not listening to me.

I think you missed the point. It's not about him getting a 360, it's about him getting an old 360 and not listening to someone who knows more on the subject the himself :)

It's not ignorance about wanting a 360, it was ignorance about #1 Premium 360's with the 33% fail rate (and this is a refurb) #2 Marketshare #3 Basing everything Sony has done on Betamax #4 Saying COD4 was 360 exclusive because he only saw it on 360, etc.

Obviously he doesn't know much about the market. But I know many people that ignorant, and I hear this kind of things almost everytime I go in a videogame shop. The only difference is that these kind of people tend to be heavy Playstation fanboys. This weekend there was this 10yo kid making fun of his older sister who was looking at the xbox360 games, saying "that's just crap, playstation is the best". And in another shop one hour later, a 20yo guy making fun of his friend : "you've bought a 360 so don't cry if you can't find a good game, what's great with the Playstation is that all the games are on it". Now there's no wonder why the PS3 sells so much in Europe.

This is something my friend probably would have done 5 or 6 years ago if he wanted a PS2 bad enough

Oh yea, well I had this friend hwo denided the PS2's existance.

All my friends at my school are the same, one of them even said that the PS3 was weaker than the wii graphicly...

Others say XBOX is always better than playstation, and that ps3 has no games etc..

I cant argue since its usually 12 vs 1..

Let me just say that you must be a very nice person because I personally would never....ever....ever...hang out with someone who was that unwilling to consider my advice.

I'm not all business with my friends but if I told them something with a straight face I would expect them to at least give it serious consideration instead of throwing up BS reasons to ignore it. Thats just a lack of respect imo, personally I would find a new friend cause from the way you tell the story he has zero redeeming qualities.
