Forums - Nintendo - Megaman 9 is for Wiiware only. Wii fans REJOICE!

^ I know several PS3 "fans" that were happy about Haze becoming exclusive, because they thought it would boost PS3 hardware sales :P

Anyway, I'm happy with MM9 coming to WiiWare (as I want to play it), but also think it would be cool to have on every console. Although an "8 bit" title probably isn't that suited to the PSN or XBLA - so I guess it makes sense.

Yeah, I should have counted on some PS3 fans celebrating that. But like I said, if you are hoping the game to sell hardware, I can understand rooting for that because you want your investment in a console to succeed. I really doubt MM9 sells hardware, though...

PSN and XBL are suitable for just about anything. I got Gauntlet 2, and that wasn't exactly a graphical powerhouse. Not as good of a game as I remember, but still...(I'm top 15 the last I checked, heh).

Anyway, it doesn't really effect me since I have a Wii. I do worry about space, though, once I get started downloading more games (gotta get that FF game and Lost Winds).

I wonder if they're going to upscale it from 256 by 224?

I'm a Mega Man newb... And this still makes me happy because it's on the Wii...
(sure, I know most of the basic plot of MM Classic, as well as the fact that Proto-Man betrays everybody in most iterations of the MM series that he features in, but that's only factoring in the various lame attempts at making an anime series out of the subfranchises)

Disclaimer to Disclaimer: Aatg885 is not intending to rub salt in open wounds. He furthermore feels the pain of anyone who wishes that MM9 would be on their console of choice. In conclusion, Aatg885 deeply regrets that no one who owns just one console, barring the Wii, will be able to enjoy what is certain to be an excellent game, worthy of one's time and money.

I am a Nintendo Fan, I am not happy that many gamers are going to miss out on MM9.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I wish it would've been on all consoles so everyone can enjoy it.
Now all the PS3 and Xbox360 fanboys will say that the game is crap and they are happy that it isn't on the PSN/Live and they weren't even interested in it.
It just takes the fun out when everyone is whining. I am more used to "the game is sooo much better on Xbox360/PS3 than on Wii" and "the Wii gets PS2 ports" than this. If things keep on going like so I might have to get used to this too.

Considering its retro style - both graphically and gameplaywise - MM9 probably wouldn't have sold that much on the HD machines, anyway (rabid hardcore MM fans excluded).

A HD version on X360 and PS3 is still a (remote) possibility, but that would completely kill the point of making it in the original NES-style in the first place. And I don't think Capcom wants to be that obvious in screwing its Wii-owning customers, even if they favor the HD systems.
