I found a MGS 80GB PS3 Bundle at Gamestop and snapped it up, it appears there was a second shipment of 80gb bundles late last week...

I also picked up COD4. The only other game I want for now is Oblivion, but I am trying to find the GotY edition used.

Also, I was POed to find out it only came with composite cables... is it worth it to buy the compenent cables?

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Not bad, the amount of games to enjoy just increased for you then! Do you also have a good gaming PC? If so, there are really not many games you'll miss out on, I think I'll go multi-console this gen as well, it has worked well in the past!

yea, I will be upgrading my PC in the next 6 months, that is a major reason I went with PS3. The PS3 shares less games with the PC.

Also, should I get the compenent cables? I play it on my monitor so I can view it in HD.

Enjoy your new AWESOME console and MGS4 with it. It feels like playing a movie, excellent.

Buy an HDMI cable if your TV supports them. Fewer cables and sharper image/sound.

Be careful with the GOTY Edition, there is a nasty bug with the Vampirism quest that has to do with Bloodgrass and requires you to have a saved game from the regular version in order to complete it.

I do not think this is has to do with the PS3 version only, it is present in all of the GOTY editions.
