The Godfather! I love that trilogy :D
Why has nobody commented on the embarrassing spelling mistake in the thread title yet?

(above) Yeah, I think it is my first spelling mistake. I must have just been excited.
Don't expect the LOTR trilogy this year. Maybe next year, or whenever The Hobbit comes out.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
Suggested list price has been set at $119.95
That is a lot....You must be a big fan of The Godfather if you pay that for three movies.
Godfater sounds like the sequel to Too Human or something. If there is one. ;)

A lot of people will pay that. Besides that's not that bad.
If i remember right that's what i season of Star Trek will cost you.
The Godfather and Godfather 2 are like.... 2-3 times the size of regular movies these days.

Flawed logic. Standalone sales are horrible because of the PS3, which is by far the best player available. No one buys standalones because you'd be an idiot to. |
I disagree. I think most "normal" consumers would be embarresed to have a videogame players as their main format player.
Also i doubt most "normal" consumers would know the PS3 is the best Blu-ray player. How would they?
Which would suggest that normal consumers aren't yet buying it.
If you take out 57% of the PS3's... the Blu-ray number is still well lower then what DVD was at. (43% say they use their PS3 atleast once a month for blu-ray.)
Also, of that you have to take into acount the people who see it as a secondary feature and would of never bought a blu-ray player or would of waited a couple years to save up.
Looking at all the factors it's easy to see that the PS3 "saved" blu-rays ass via getting more people into the blu-ray market then previously were going to be this early on in the lifecycle.

Don't worry about the 120$ MSRP. That is inflated so that retailers like amazon can claim that they are selling their stuff at a huge discount. If I can get this for 75$, I am sold. Of course I could be wrong and people will try to sell it for 120$. :)
