Exactly my point, I tried not to say that in this thread but you simply asked why I said they look cartoony so I had no choice but to bring the HD topic in the discussion.
The graphics isnt important though, just asking... Are HD games in HD really makes a difference? I've seen some HD games on TV and gaming sites such as gametrailers and G4TV but I never seen any WOW factor to it asides from improved model design and realistic facial features.

 

 

Just to tell you again, I like EA graphics engine they implented for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of Madden NFL series this generation.

I have nothing against the Wii graphics or anything. In fact as I stated in this thread before. I am going to buy it just for the simple fact of the Wii-mote controls and considering the Wii in my household is family-oriented and I can take the Wii over some of my co-workers house so we can have some fun with it.

I never said anything about HD games vs. HDTV

I said i like the way EA used the PS3 and Xbox 360 graphics engine, it looks mighty impressive compared to the Wii version.

Still looks like crap.
In fact the grass looks worse just looks like AstroTurf even in previous games they had it look like grass.

Look at ESPN 2k5 for PS2/Xbox ..that still looks great surely Wii is powerful enough to handle something like that.

I know it isn't the focus of the game or anything, but why do the crowds always look so awful.  Even the PS360 Madden crowds look terrible.

WHINE, WHINE, WHINE... If you really like the graphics so much just buy a 360 or a PS3 and dont bother posting on these threads and saying you're disappointed about it. Wii wasnt about the graphics its about the gameplay, Wii owners dont care if a game only have high end PS2 graphics like God of War 2 as long as it dont have a average Ps2 graphics. As long as it have great gameplay we are contented with it.

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

yeah. I've wondered the same thing for a long time. I mean, it can't be that demanding to control 21 AI characters at once with no moving landscapes and reletively crappy graphics. (All Madden games on all consoles have crappy graphics; I hate monopolies...)

I honestly think that looks like Nintendo 64

I am sure it doesn't, and this is better. But at first glance... that is what I think of.
Terrible fuzzy super cartoony.

Sports games should look good.

I am sorry if that seemed harsh.. just my honest opinion

I thought those pics in the graphics sucked. Then again it isnt a high res pic?... The only thing in those pics that i was impressed with was the shadowing.

I don't have a 360/PS3 nor can afford one.

I have a wii and love it but Wii has more power than it's given credit for and could handle the visuals I linked since that was a PS2/Xbox game in 2004,3rd parties are fucking lazy and at least challenge the console some...Nintendo did at least put the effort in making it nearly twice as powerful as Gamecube...so take advantage of it.

EA is using a graphics engine(made for PS2 originally) that has had little improvement since 2000....I mean come on it's been 8 years and now on a system several times more powerful than PS2 and double that of Gamecube.

Those screens don't look good for even a PS2 game anymore  much less Wii.
