Forums - Nintendo - What's all the fuss about smash bros brawl?????

While making you play through the adventure mode, and having a gimped online, are both pretty big strikes against the game, I still think Brawl's one of the most fun games released this generation. True, in concept it isn't that much different from Melee or 64, but it adds more and has a better balance and feel, in my opinion. Still, I'm glad to read you're enjoying it, OP, even if you do feel it's overrated.

Yeah, the first time I played Brawl, I was a little disappointed. After playing Melee for countless hours, Brawl just ended up feeling.....slow, so it took me some time to get used to this change. I also hate how you can trip in the game. I ended up liking the Subspace Emissary, except it would get a little repetitive. As for the content, I am very impressed. There are countless things to collect, which keeps me busy. It is a shame online lags, but other than that the game is great. It took me some time to get used it, but overall, it is a great successor to Melee.

Currently Playing: Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros for Wii U

Predictions:

Super Mario Galaxy will pass Super Mario 64 in total sales CORRECT!

If you really got into Smash Bro.s Melee you would find that the returning characters have been GREATLY modified.

Most of their moves remain the same but the amount of damage, knockback, speed, jump height, etc. are enough to make the best character from Melee the worst.

Yes Ice Climbers are now the worst in the game after being my heros in Melee.

I never understood the appeal of this series. I'm as big a fan of the Nintendo franchises as the next guy having owned every single Nintendo console, but Smash Brothers....I just doen't "get it".

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

I like it a lot. It was overhyped. I prefer Mario Kart. That is my short and simple answer.

SSBB is a good game but there are major flaws like how terrible Subspace emissary is also the online mode is absolutely atrocious.

You really haven't played the game if you haven't played it online. Online is its biggest attribute, even though it is very flawed, but it is very addictive. You should try adding vhcharts members and playing against them, that is were the fun of this game is.

 exactly....

and commig from melee to brawl i didn't like it at first either. the speed of the game was slowed down quite a bit and a lot of the advanced techniques were taken out. Now that im used to the controls i like it much better than melee it just takes some getting used to.

Read my first posr and you will see I am not the biggest brawl fan but I think Brawl and Melee have some pretty significant differences. Stage building and trading, The multi-piece items, trophies, a 8-10 hour single player game, online play, etc.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Because gaining a couple nasty grab combos (one near infinite), a better partner AI, and some freakish priority on a few moves makes them the worst.  Ice Climbers can chain you from 0% to death if the player is skilled enough (or just feels like being an arse).

I played Brawl yesterday and after about two hours it felt boring. So it's just like Melee, but with more characters, stages, music and other stuff. Brawl lived up to my expectations.

Spoken like a true MK Wii Fanboy

More like a passionate SSB hater.

Why do hate it rol the only people that hate are the one's that are not good in the game?
