Forums - Nintendo - What should the next Donkey Kong game be like?

 Donkey Kong Country.

Screw the Bongo game. Screw all that 3d BS.

Donkey Kong was at his finest moments in Donkey Kong Country.

I'd want a remake of Donkey Kong '94 for WiiWare, with twice as many levels, some new music, some old music, and some remixes, and a level editor. It would be heaven.

What you said.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Hell, I'd be happy with something even half as good as Donkey Kong 64.

i want it to be epic.

2D would be nice, but it does not really matter as long as there are no bongos

agree with another DK country

They could even throw in a bongo mini-game or bongo racing level or a bongo boss battle or some crap for all I care, as long as it's basically what I said in my earlier post. The main problem is that outside of DKC, all the best Donkey Kong games have you playing as Mario instead of Donkey Kong.

Or they should make another game where Mario is the villain, but with you playing as DK instead of DK Jr. It would be badass to throw a barrel UP the tower while you climb it.

A DK 2D platformer.

This time you play as the barrel and you have to chase DK down through various levels.

“If any creator has not played Mario, then they’re probably not a good creator. That’s something I can say with 100 percent confidence. Mario is, for game creators, the development bible.

I want retro to develop it
