Hi guys I read this very interesting article that that Sony santa monica was working hard on gow3 and is planning to release it against gears of war 2 in time for the holidays, its just a rumour but that would a be a fantastic thing to happen for us gamers and just ask which game do you think would come out on top and why????

both are different games so you cant compare, and both will be massive sellers on each platform, but i think GOW is out next year

GoW3 is out next year or in 2010 and GeoW2 is out this year, at least in sales the winner is GeoW2.

Those are not even close to each other...one is a hack and slash and one is a shooter.

I think it's just a rumor. GOW3 will probably see a release of March 09, if history is any indicator. If they were to go head to head, theoretically, Gears would win by alot. The first Gears game sold as much as both GOW and GOW2 did, combined, and on a much smaller install base to boot.

I think gears 2 will most likely sell better.

GoW won't be out until (at least) 2009, but in term of sales, GeoW has proven to be better.

How about; which franchise is more badass? God of War or Gears of War?
