I don't need DvD option on my Wii, I have other consoles/players for that.



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Technically, I'm pretty sure they could. Legally, probably not unless they paid royalties for every single Wii which has already been sold.

I don't know much about the legal part though.

OT: Gotta agree with that decision at least for now. They can't make enough Wiis as it is. Why make it even more complicated?

No big deal. The Wii has trounced the competition without that feature. Heck, even if the Wii could play DVD's, it wouldn't be much of an addition to the console. I have four DVD playing devices hooked up to my TV right now. If I were among the few who didn't have the ability to watch a DVD movie, I could buy a DVD player for $20 at my grocery store!! No need in adding this to the Wii. I watch enough porn on the thing already, using the web browser.
