How do we know there are five classes by the way?

In any case I think Paladin, Necro, Barbarian, Sorceress and Witchdoctor would be my preferred lineup of five classes.

Watch the 19-minute gameplay preview on gamevideos or gametrailers. Blizzard guy says 5 classes. I'm not really concerned about what the classes will be, but I'd be surprised if they abandonned the rogue/amazon class that was in both games.

to me PC gaming is Blizzard. Everything else i'd rather play on console.

Blizzard is awesome, but that's really sad.

Yeah thats what I would want, not whats likely to happen. More likely it will be the Necro who is ditched and that would suck hard. Necro was by far my favourite D2 character.

To me, PC gaming is so niche(I dont hang out with/know people who only play PC games)

The Necro and the Druid has been ditched, from what I can tell.

It's not all bad, though, because the Witchdoctor seems to be a crazy hybrid of the two.

Necro is definitely gone guys. I know that's kinda tough to accept for those of us who liked it, but EVERY one of the Witchdoctor's moves has been an evolution of the Necro's moves. He even has undead. Time to move on and look forward to the Witchdoctor.

And assassin and amazon will be fused into a hybrid "Rogue" with ranged skills, and traps and what not. Perhaps wilderness commands to lure and crowd control.
