Forums - Sales - PAL charts week 26 (2008), Super smash bros brawl fisrt week, more MGS4.

So no specific number for SSBB for now. The sales range is from less than 100k up to 207k (Mario Kart). I'm not really sure what's the 4th best Wii debut in UK. I think that SMG sold around 70k first week and that number shouldn't be far from lower limit for SSBB.

June ELSPA awards should allow us to estimate SSBB sales more accurate.

3,000,000 for Brawl's first week worldwide here we go!

ELSPA Sales Awards are based on tracked sales, not extrapolated, and MK Wii was tracked at 186k first week, so SSBB can only get a Silver award or no award at all. It will let us know if it broke 100k or not, but that's about it.

Super Smash Bros is awesome, ive been playing it loads

How much does chart-track track? (I thought it was about 90% of the UK market)

Yeah, it's around 90%. Chart-Track usually give a simple 90% > 100% extrapolation when they occasionally give out first week sales numbers to the public, but ELSPA just use the 90% for their sales awards and the monthly top ten that's been published in Famitsu for the last few months.

Do we even know if SSBB will be able to get an award in June? GTA IV wasn't part of the April update while it released in that month.

Yes SSBB can have an award in june, because he was release during the last week of june for ELSPA. GTA 4 was release during the week ending 2 may, so during the first week of may for ELSPA.
