Forums - Gaming Discussion - What is the hardest game this generation?

I consider reflex games not a true measure of how good you are at games.

"HEY LOOK! I CAN MOVE MY FINGERS AT A RATE OF 17 TAPS PER SECOND!"

That isn't skill.

Yes, it is...

Zack and Wiki can get excruciating at times.

is it really that hard?

I think it's more guess and check than hard, and sometimes it just takes awhile to guess what the developer thought of.

Sigma has to be considered more difficult than number 2, as almost everyone has said the game has been made easier and the original was awesomely difficult.

Well, even if that's the case I'd hardly call Sigma a game of this generation. And I'm not even sure that's the case.

@dtewi: You don't need to tap the controller very quickly. It's more about precision, knowing when to block attacks, tracking multiple enemies and saving health for when you need it. This series is not about button mashing.

Ninja Gaiden 2 and Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn are pretty tough. I have beaten them both though.

This should be gauged on the "Normal" difficultly. As anything higher is just AI having more stat boost and your toon nerfed.

Does handheld count? Etrian Odyssey 1 and/or 2.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for sure

If you want challenge, you really can't go past fire emblem. Almost everyone on this thread seems to agree on that point.

PSN- williwod

Remember, there are no stupid questions. Just stupid people- Mr Garrison

I would guess Lost Odyssey

Wow, that's a toughie. I suspect that to get 100% completion, it would be smash bros brawl

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. The main game. Not the mini games. I'm not joking. Try to beat it and by beating it I mean unlock Worlds 9 and 10 and beat them too.
