Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Over 370,000 words recorded for Fable 2

damn,

I was hoping for over 372 000

we'll see if this is enough

Zing.

OT:  How many people have recorded doing these words.  Oblivion may have had a ton of dialogue as SlimeBeast said but there were only like 10 voice actors.  I don't want to hear the same people over and over.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

British humor is fucking great too. Top Gear is awesome.

Dragon Age yeah but Space Seige??? not a chance. Besides Dragon age is still virtually vaporware. Very few screenies out for it and I've not seen any video. Q1 2009 seems very optimistic for this title we should have seen more by now.

Space Siege won't have the same budget as Fable 2, but it is being developed by Gas Powered Games, known for Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 (both better than Fable 1) and headed by Chris Tailor. GPG has much more experience at making ARPGs than Molineux, whom even with a big budget couldn't deliver Fable 1 from what it was promised.

Its all in what you like I suppose. I finshed Fable and enjoyed it despite being massivily disapointed in Moleyneaux's overhype and broken promises. I played probably over half of Dungeonsiege before loosing interest and was not compelled enough to even try Dungeonsiege 2. I dont see myself getting excited by dungeonsiege in space. Of all the diabloesque games the first Diablo was the only one I enjoyed and I was pretty tired of the formula after playing Diablo 2.

I am hyped for Dragon Age though from the little I've seen of it. I just really dont expect it to make its target date. I predict RPG of the year 2010.I hope we see more on it this E3. I expect Fable 2 to make it out before Christmass 2008.

Is fable 2 going to come to pc aswell because i really dont want to spend like nearly 200 pounds just to play this one game

If it does it will be at least 18 months away, and it will be very dated.

Buy a 360 and pick up Banjo Kazooie as well and Halo Wars.  Banjo Kazooie wouldn't work on PC, and Halo Wars is confirmed not to be coming to the PC.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

..... that's a lot of words

... Or, keep the £200 and buy Starcraft 2, the PC version of DMC4 (superior version, with extra modes), Dragon Age (Baldur's Gate 2 spiritual sequel, made by Bioware) and Space Siege (Sequel to Dungeon Siege).

Well duh, he can buy whatever he wants with his money.

Theres no need to make a list of stuff that you can buy instead of buying a 360, that's just lame.

Fable 2 is going to be a brilliant game, if you want to play it, then you should buy a 360.

If you want to play those games you mentioned then fair enough but this thread is about Fable 2.

i think fable 2 will have a good shot at becoming rpg of the year.

If FFXIII doesn't make it out this year, I think Fable 2 is a shoe-in.  Especially after Fallout 3 seems to have gone to hell on a fast train.

EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!!

- Removing all the mature themes such as: xenophoby, racism, sex, slavery, child-killing, prostitution, drug addiction. (Basically a 'Teen-Rated' Fallout)

Fallout isn't the same if you don't get the childkiller and gigalo tags in your profile. :(

- Worsening the Dialogue scheme. That is the worst they could have done. Instead of the character having unique dialogue options based on your intelligence, knowledge and skill; now on Fallout 3 every character will have the EXACT SAME DIALOGUES, and the Intelligence only affects what's your success percentage on your dialogues, it doesn't changes the dialogues options. This means even if your char has the lowest intellect, the options will still be the same...

For comparison, In Fallout 1&2 if your character had low intellect it could only grunt and growl to other people because you were a complete retarded. So much fun, some of the NPC's even took pity on you and gave you stuff, while most looked at you with contempt and didn't gave a crap about you for being retarded. You won't see this in Fallout 3.

Ohhhh thats LOW, what are they? Are they too high and mighty so see the hurt they cause by this?

- Bethesda has lack of artistic and design talent. Which means the famous writing of Fallout 1&2 most likely won't be present in Fallout 3... that totally sucks. The art of FO3's Super Mutatns are generic, and do not possess the artstyle of the hunchback mutants that were envisioned in the 50's.

Not only that, Bethesda might give Fallout 3 the Oblivion treatment, and just make half-assed quests. Fallout is a series that's known for having unique content as a strong point: every quest in Fallout 1&2 is unique and awesome in it's own way, while Oblivion's quests are... crap.

Damnit! I think EA should buy Bethesda and let Bioware do the next one then. Im actually apreciating EA more and more, they have ACTUALLY changed their ways like they said they would.

Tease.

Awesome, I hope that means the game will be longer than 20 hours (will every sidequest included).

You seem to have forgotten about White knight chronicles made by LEVEL 5.
