@swyggi, Animal Crossing, Starfox, Pikmin, a real Zelda Wii game and I'm sure if they want to resurrect one of their old IPs (Kid Icarus) they could. Obviously the only one that could be equal to SMG, SMBB or MK would be Animal Crossing. I'm sure someone else will list some more.

 

I doubt Kid Icarus would be able to do it, there hasn't been a kid icarus game in a looong time so hardly anybody in general would probably know who he is.  Pikmin, starfox, and animal crossing more than likely not.  A new Zelda game would probably be the only one, but there hasn't been a new Zelda announced any time soon.

Um animal crossing ds sold 9 million. Pokemon sold 15 million on the ds alone. Zelda sells about 5-7 million. THen they have the wii series, and new ips. Nintendo has alot up their sleeves. Then nintendo has a whole bunch of smaller franchises that if more than one come out at a time could sell systems. Nintendo still has alot left.

 

Pokemon games sell so much more on handhelds than on consoles though.

Well that is because nintendo has never released a good pokemon game for consoles. I'm sure a pokemon mmo, or a 3d pokemon game that plays the same as handheld pokemon would sell excepllent. ALso  pokemon game that featured all regions would selll fantastic.

And there is a huge difference to the userbase and demographs on the ds and the on the gc. Then you could see that the wii targets the same demographs as the ds. This is without mentioning that the increase could be due to the game being well known. Please give me a reason why it won't sell just as good on a console with the same demographs and userbase as a handheld.

It's possible that it won't, here's Pokemon battle Revolution's sales.  It's not that simple to say that the Wii will target exactly that or this user base and the DS will target this or that user base.  There's also a difference in preference to HOW you want to play the games, in this case pokemon and Animal crossing are preferred on hand helds.

pokemon battle revolution is a completely different game to the DS handhald pokemon.

Animal Crossing Wii will be much more similar to AC:WW than the GC version

I guess the Wii will sell outsell the X360 and PS3 with an avarage of 100k a week..

If sales continue like this it will need 50 weeks to outsell X360 and PS3 but those two consoles probably will sell more combined than the Wii will do in the holidays (supply issues)...

Hmmz;..

I go with summer 09 or never...
