Anyone who played GoW and was anticipating GoW2 and played through that and watched the end is definitely eagerly waiting for GoW3

SO the wii isn't casual enough now? Or is it only that the wii is casual when sony fans choose it to be? I would say yes it will sell well on a home console. The gamecube game sold 2 million , and that is with a smaller, and ONLY hardcore userbase.

This is stupid, just because the HAND HELD GAME sold 9 million copies DOESNT MEAN ITS A BIGGER GAME.

Its not A BIGGER GAME, its not A BETTER GAME.

God of war is AAA and will move consoles, ANIMAL CROSSING DOES NOT MOVE CONSOLES.

It didnt move DS hardware, or GC hardware.

for adults God Of War is the bigger franchise, for 6 year olds Animal Crossing is bigger, do you feel me.

how is... GC ONLY hardcore userbase? No, it's not as casual as Wii, but it's by no mean "ONLY' hardcore.

it sold "Well" on GC, but it didn't sell THAT well, to say it's better than one of the (if not THE) best game on PS2 is a joke.

it might win in sales number, but it fails in every other category when comparing to God of War.

yes, it sold better, but is it a better game? Will it move consoles (a different console, nevertheless) and most importantly, will it get the hype it needed?

And God of War is on the PS2 (which has sold more than the DS...).

Anywho, while God of War is a great series, Animal Crossing has more influence by being cherished by both casual and gaming audiences (or at least it has the potential to). So in this case I believe that Animal Crossing will see more sales for the game itself and for the console which it plays on.

Not to say that GoW won't move consoles... but compared to Animal Crossing, I don't think it can surpass it.

This is so completely idiotic.

God of war is EASILY the better game, saleswise its completely trumped by the DS game.

Well it has an average score in the high 80s in gamerankings. Not too far from God of War which is low 90s. The franchise will get hyped by casual and hardcore fans alike, and will move many consoles.

 

that's the difference between comparing an AA game with an AAA game. no different than comparing Gears of War with Resistence.


Game sold well... on DS, Will it sell as well on a home console?

 

The GC AC sold 2.9M.... on 20M consoles, GoW sold 3.2M on 120M PS2..... you do the math (and GoW2 sold 2.11M....)
