i dont know the game will selll 300k or not, but undeniably Everybody's Golf series have tonnes of die hard supporters in japan, its a very popular and supported series, i am guessing that it will push ps3 sales a little abit, just enough to surpass ps3 1 milion sales mark, well i think...

The last preorders I remember were the MOnster Hunter 2 for the PSP ,that was around 400K in preorders and finally first week it sold around 750K if I remember well .THe PS3 install base is way smaller that the PSP right now so I would say most of the users interested have already preordered the game .I think it will sell some 250K then having in count not all preorders are fullfilled .The second week it should have a big drop but this game will move systems and have big legs due to its community aspects (online playing ,spectactors can get online just to see people playing and chat with others ,etc ) so it will keep selling decent amounts for many weeks ....a lifetime total of 500K is possible .

It really just depends on the first shipment vs. retail preorders. I wonder if there'll be a big discrepancy?

At any rate, I think it could do 200k o/w. I would say that 500k lifetime in Japan is very likely, or a near-lock, due to no other titles, NGS and Folk Soul increasing the PS3 (albiet very slightly).

Hopefully, it moves some consoles. IMO, it probably won't sell as many hardware units as Gundam did (20k increase in a week), but could actually pump up the hardware sales for a few weeks, or so, giving it a better deal than just a 2 week increase vs. the standard trend.

Well I'm late to this thread it seems. I'll chime in anyway though (winks). Retailers wouldn't order so many copies unless they though they would sell. Based on the prior games in the series, this game should sell well. I'm not sure the first week and total sales would be. 150k to 250k first week, 400k to 600k lifetime? PS3 sales should jump for couple weeks of release. I'm guessing 20k first week, with 15k the following. After that I wouldn't venture to guess.

After those games released, i don`t see anything interesting to be released on ps3 for japanese. Unless GT5 prologue comes this year, and maybe FFXIII demo will interest someone. Also, Tekken 6 has very low chance to appear by the end of this year.

well x360 also get not much games, only TB and LO in the end of year, and AC6 + maybe halo3. Naruto.. maybe too.

erm, except Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Dragon Quest Swords, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, etc etc. Andof course, Dragon Quest IX, the biggest game in Japan aside from Pokemon, which was ALSO released this year.

well, Wii is doing GOOD in japan, those games won`t change sales.
so Wii games are not interesting at that point.
