When they create lists like this that miss the most important games of all time (Pong, Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Madden, etc.) it is frustrating ... When games that will be forgotten in 2 years in favour of the next newest thing are at the top of your list there is a massive problem.

Popularity polls always favor newer games over older games. People vote for what they are playing now.

This list is complete bullshit. Normally I find people funny who complain about lists like that because its a bit pointless.

But Gears of War? Seriously? I mean its a competent shooter but ...

Besides in the list of best games ever, console games before this gen should not even come up in the top10.

That would be a valid list. Zelda give me a break. Arguing about the best console game 1997 is like middle Europeans arguing 3000 bc which of their mud huts is the nicer one when at the same time Egyptians(PC games) build the Cheops pyramid.
