The one downside to all of this is that you have to make a new profile every month but anyway, here's how it works.

1.Go to your Xbox live dashboard sign out of any profile you're on.

2. Hit sign up for xbox live and enter all of the necessary info

3. When you're done signing up make sure you select the silver profile and after you do, Xbox live will ask you if your sure. Hit yes and you will be offered a month free trial of gold.

When the month is up rinse and repeat steps 1-3

P.S. You can do this as many times as you want so you are basically stealing a month at a time. Happy gaming!

80% of free stuff isn't worth the trouble. If you are that starved of cash, you are better off buying only Halo 3 for your console, buy Xbox live, and playing nothing but Halo and getting really good and having a great time. Also works with COD4. From what I hear live is worth the price.

Yea you do need a new email address every month but it doesn't need to work. The Email I just used for my new ago an hour ago is tweetlyturp@yahoo.com.

yeah i noticed this too,but i pay for it jsut to be safe so they wont ban my IP

There are ways around everything. You can call your isp and change your ip address. You have more power than you think.

i pay because you got to go throught the hassle of getting all your friends back.

AND WHAT ABOUT THE ACHIEVEMENTS?!

I guess we play for different reasons. I just like playing online. I don't care about points that directly correlate to having no life.
