I lurked for about 6 - 8 months... I only found this site because of Google News...

Welcome to the site JUICE, I remember lurking for a few months before I joined too.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Indeed, after the death of NSider I roamed the desolate interwebz searching for that one place to call my home... and this weary traveler stumbled upon the greatness that is VGChartz.

It's a great site with some interesting characters. Although if there is one thing we're missing its 360 fans. We seem to have plenty of Nintendo and Sony fans around, but sometimes Microsoft gets no love. Ah well, starcraft keeps up the fort well enough.

It seems like it was just yesterday that Montana gave me my first VGC "hello" (which confirms his greatness), or that supermario128 (that guy up there ^^^) wanted to be my first friend. Ah... good times, good times...

Anyways, welcome to VGC, home of the original Gaming Chartz. We don't make it 'til you order it.

Q: What stopped you from joining straight away?

A: Never joined a forum before. I guess that's inertia.

Q: What finally made you join?

A: Solely to exchange Wii Friend Codes. Soon after that E3 '07 hit and I realized that Nintendo really did have a radically different vision this generation (Wii Fit!) and I started to post. So yeah, I blame Wii Fit.

P.S. - I'm surprised that the Wii Friend Code thread isn't the top sticky in the Nintendo Forum.

I can't remember why exactly, but i think it was more effort to register back then than i thought necessary.. and i'm not sure what made me join, but knowing me, it was most likely something stupid that was said in a random thread that i felt i needed to respond to

Come up from under your rock you lurkers!@!@!@

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

At first I didn't join because I was just here for the numbers. Then I'd go fight the wackos at Joystiq. I was in the Nintendo Defense Force there, and eventually got interviewed by Justin McElroy for a piece about the console defense forces and the SDF at GameDaily (http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/features/console-defense-forces/71176/). I am now officially the face and voice of the NDF.

Then eventually 3 things made me join VGChartz:

1) I had to support John Lucas's first epic prediction that came true.
2) I started reading the Brawl updates thread and got sucked in.
3) I really wanted to argue with Kwaad.

But this is the best community with the most intelligent posters (because they can't ignore the numbers here), the least trolls, the most lulz, and the best moderation I've ever seen. And being able to immediately see anybody's game collections really let us know each other on the deepest level of human relating I've ever known.

I always lurk a bit before joining. I have to know if the community is right, if I enjoy the culture and if I can add something to the knowledge of the site.
If the time is ripe and the conditions have been met, I join.

I feel everyone should lurk a bit instead of immidiatly signing up. That way you limit the amount of ghost accounts and people who have no business posting here (let's say, the worst of the fanboys.)
