Whats this, Microsoft wants to be Sony computer Entertainment of Japan and Sony wants to buy Rare? These both seem equally plausible to me!
Then again, Microsoft idiotically let Bungie go, so I guess it is possible, but I am calling BS on Microsoft selling Rare... they would at least wait for Viva 2 and BK to come out...

MS wouldn't sell anything to Sony considering they see them as the primary competitor to steal market share from. Sony really cant afford to buy anything right now, no offense, they need to start making money, not spending it.

1/ RARE+MS team is a failure from now since their games never succeed to sell the Xbox/Xbox360 to casual ...

2/ I dont see why MS would sell Rare to Sony

3/ I still dont see what Rare could bring to Sony :
- Most goldeneye devs run away since years
- Bano/kazooie is not a so popular serie.

Hmm, what a terrible rumor. I seriously hope no one believes this, not even for a second. Internet rumors are getting way too random and completely out of hand. Unless they're completely random and unlikely like this gem here, they're likely to be believed anyways.

Why would Sony want Rare? What have they done that's good in the last several years?

Remours of RE5 being 360 exclusive and M$ buying Sega are posible but not this one?

RARE used to be the best developer in the industry.... Back during the SNES and N64 days.

Ever since then they've been a non-factor. Sony would be wasting their money.
