people like me that are waiting to get a 80gb model since months are not interested by a Xbox360 or we would have bought it already ;))

 

 I really hope Europe gets an 80gig soon. I can see sales be steady weekly at a higher rate than it is now.

Just imagine if Sony would release the 80 GB MGS4 sku on a worldwide basis. Sales would get a really nice jump because I have a feeling the demand for it is just as high or even higher in EU & JP.

PS3 sales will stay elevated for some time, and MGS4 sales by association by being bundled.

The next few weeks should be awesome.

Numbers (on the shipment) would be nice, but all in all good news for Sony.

I wonder if we'll see additional threads talking about other "sold out"-stores.

If this continues next week NA sales could actually increase.

In any case, this is bad news Sony isnt catching on to demand, and are loosing sales by not catching demand.

They really need to release 80gb bundles by the hundres of thousands in NA, and even World wide, and we will see a tremendous sales boost.

Dis continuing the 80gb might have been the best thing sony has ever done, we never saw the motorstorm bundle sell out.

That decision depends on whether or not SCEE decides to bring the 80gb model to europe, SCEA cant do anything when it comes to europe.

The problem with selling 80g PS3 here in Europe is going to be it's price.

The 40g version here in Sweden for example costs around 720$ wich will make the 80g atleast 900$.



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

 what about limited releases?

UK would be a prime place to release 80gigs for an increase of sales till the price goes further down. After they reduce the price even more introduce it at a lower price than the price of the 40gig.
