Well dang.. that's annoying to do that on a daily basis.. I wish there was an option to turn off this "Awesome Bar"

Also, under 'privacy' in the preferences window, you can change how long your history is saved for.

Lots of new things and features, I'm loving it so far!

Another option is, make sure that Clean History is ticked in Private Data Configuration (I don't know exactly the names in english, since I use Firefox in Spanish). Then, when you need to, Ctrl+Shift+Del and voilà, all the history erased. Or you could search for a plugin to turn the awesome bar off, I'm sure someone will create one.

OK, here is a plugin to disable the Awesome Bar and revert to the old bar. I haven't tried it, since I don't mind the new one

It has been in beta for ages, so I can't remember what the old firefox looked like (+ the ad ons I used don't work on FF 3)
