A detachable motion controller for the PS3 not including the so called x mote for the 360 and the leaked screenshots mii like avatars of 360, and the motion board for the new Tony Hawk game for 360 and PS3.

Well this is what Ninty is planning, while MS and SONY focused on casuals and core gamers testing their new controller and gaining new market, Ninty will just graduate on casual thing and motion controlled games and focused more on games and upstream the market, and cater to the core market and the market that turned into core gamers because of bridge games such as SMG and MK Wii.

Well thats what I think Ninty is planning...

I don't think Nintendo knew Miis or motion controls would take off like it has.. so i doubt thats what they had up their sleeves all along

Ninty knew would take off as it was, they just knew it. They didnt held therir conference in Kodak Theater in 2006 if they dont know whats coming to them.

well they weren't going to stand up there and say "well.. this is all we could come up with, i hope you like it" obviously they are going to stand behind their product when making press conferences.. i don't doubt that they didn't think they were onto something.. but Nintendo couldn't have expected to be market leader within a year, and the competition following their moves.. no one could have predicted that

Thats what you think, but lets just wait till E3 in July. You'll know what I mean. Its the reason why Ninty is so secretive lately, they dont want the competitors gave them ideas, no one expected Ninty will announced Wii Fit and became a million seller.

I kinda agree - I do think nintendo are expecting a 3mote and Xmote (or whatever they'll be called) and are one step ahead. i dont think it's unlikely that at some point we'll see a wii bundle with wii play (so that would be around 9 games), 2 wii motes, 2 nunchucks and a balance board for same price as now.

The balance board will be an essental for the Wii in 12 - 18 months time as there's a lot of third party support already and Nintendo haven't even began. Expect a wii 1080 Avalance game at E3.

The real reason why the wiimote is popular wasnt because of its motion sensing controls and the pointer, why its so special was because of its design. Its a wiimote, its designed as a remote control like in your TV.

So unless SONY and MS wants to sued by Ninty the motion controller thing will not work. Unless they want to blatantly rip off Ninty's design, remember, Nintendo have money right now to sue everyone copying their designs, MS and SONY was losing money so Ninty can sue MS and SONY if they copied the wiimote.

Anyway, the most desperate was Microsoft even the PS3 will murder the 360 thats why theyre desperate to cater new audience. But its too late now BOTH OF THEM.

ps3 does not need a new controller to do well in sales. get the price to 200 with a ps3 slim and sony will once again take the 1st place prize, whatever that is.
