Forums - General Discussion - Premier League Statistics 2008-09 Season

Why do people only support the top 4 teams? Everyone on this site supports either Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Man U. it's not just this site, it's real life too. I probably know 50+ people who claim to be Man U fans (about 50% are hardcore Man U fans), not one of them lives in Manchester/ever been to manchester.

Supersteveyles is cool cos he is a Tranmere rovers fan, he doesn't care how bad they are because that's his team. I know a Southampton fan who has stuck with them the past few seasons which have been the clubs worst. Yet I bet if one of the top 4 got relegated they would lose 75% of their fans overnight.

That's my 2c

Because most people are frontrunners? In all honesty, the Premiere League is kind of boring, since only four teams have any chance to win it. I'm sure that's great if you're a Chelsea or Man U fan. Not so great if you follow the other 16 teams. Just don't accuse me of being a bandwagon fan: Wigan Athletic is my club! Any season in which they can avoid relegation is a good one for me.

Cheers, I knew loads of Liverpool fans in school, none of them were regulars at Anfield. I reckon if Liverpool weren't as successful as they are now, hardly anyone in the Wirral would support them, same applies to Everton.

BTW Tranmere Rovers 1-0 Hartlepool United, we won today.

Aston Villa for champions league, make it happen O'niell

Apparentley Aston villa have been given 25-1 odds of relegation. Pundits have also said we have to hold out because it will be an ultimately dissapointing season for us. Hard to believe.

But I reckon we can beat Man City today, Their club is in turmoil at the moment.

Also Hull City FC beat Fulham FC... WTF...

Agbonlahor surely is a future England star.

^ Yeah 3 goals in 7 minutes, that is pure skill

Man U are predictably crap with out Ronaldo. Lucky they didn't loose to Newcastle. Chelsea have a fantastic start. Chelsea are top and it ain't going to change.
