Well if that is the true reason as to why it is on 360, then I think we can expect a PS3 version later on.

But how much later?

We all know how horrible things have been this generation for the version of a game (and its hardware selling prospects) that gets the bad end of a timed-exclusive deal.

Well, the PS3 hit the market one year later than the 360, so I would say no longer than a year. But they could do a decent port in 6 months probably.

Not sure what your second sentence means, but there have been good and bad ports (Oblivion - good, Lost Planet - bad).

I dont mean in terms of port quality.  I mean in terms of port success.  Most of the second versions of games have not sold well and have certainly not moved hardware.  Look at Virtua Fighter 5 for 360.  Better than the PS3 version, but a complete bomb saleswise.

VF 5 isn't really a good example since it's a lot like VF4 and not much difference than VF3. I got VF5 but didn't play it much since it was so much like VF4 which I played to death years ago.

Then I agree. Although second versions rarely outsell the original version, they are usually worth it financially.

really? PS3 wasn't ready to begin? Heck, maybe they need to talk to FFXIII team about that?

I think the real honest answer is that, how do you expect us to believe that you didn't accept any money from Microsoft when you are designing a game for 600k user-base on Japan.

It actually has to do with the fact that bringing games on the 360 is a lot cheaper than on the ps3, besides SO widest appeal in the west where the 360 has somewhere between 6-7 millon userbase advantadge. But hey, keep blaming MS's money for the shortcomings on the ps3 ecosystems.

@riachu: moneyhatting isn't bribery.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

"In terms of why Xbox 360…the simple answer to this is just that, when we started development on it, the Xbox 360 hardware was the only one that was ready to begin. The PS3 was not fully available at the moment to start development. That’s the honest answer to that."

BS. You know MS had some sort of involvement.

And I didn't know this was a prequel :O

If you didn't know this was a prequel, then you don't really pay much attention to the video game news much

you are kidding me right?? SO's widest appeal is in the west??? Look at its attachment ratio in the first 3 games and then talk.

if it has to do with bringing game out cheaper, why isn't it on DS or Wii?? Your argument is extremely flawed.

Soriku (Feb 10/08): In 5 years the PS3/360 will be dead.

I think he means that SO3 sold better here than in Japan.  That is kind of true because I heard the game got poor sales in Japan
