I'm an intern ánd busy with my thesis + social contacts so I can relate to some degree:

I tend to pick games now that don't take much investment to play through the week. I can go online for a fast shootout on CoD4 and be on my merry way 30 minutes later. Or Relax a bit with one or two stars on SMG.
Social relationships I can combine with my wii thank god.

I keep the huge investment games for the weekend and perhaps some lonely evening when I have nothing to do. It helpts that I can still demand my own time from, for instance, girlfriends. If you are married demand that you too can take some time for yourself. Or better yet, roster it in. That's how I get by.

I guess this thread totally failed...

@Esmoreit: The problem is I am seldom at home. if at all. I usually try to drop by once every two weeks. I also love the pick up and play games these days. Mario Kart, Endless Ocean etc get the most playing time. I even almost gave up on Mario, as it takes too long to get back into it after a month or two....

The truth is that I don't have a great deal of time to play games... Hell I'm on here more than I play. I would easily find myself doing 60 hours of uni work and general odds and ends for 60+ hours a week during term time. But ATM I am working a 42 hour week as a junior civil engineer, which is the worlds most useless job, so I have a bit more time than usual. Although I do need to start researching for my final year project *Sigh*

Don't sleep :)....

But I don't work now for 60 hours a week... I only work now 16 hours a week but still get pais a full time employee =p.

I used to have a job like that and it kinda came down to, well, hardly playing games anymore at all. I'm glad I quit. :p

Like kirby said, get a portable device. And in a few years, you'll be playing current-gen games on a portable so basicly you're catching up in the future.
