 The media may not bash it as much anymore, but how can you state that PS3 is the forward motion when in the last 3 weeks 3 non JRPG games were cancelled for PS3. The getaway was 1 (after Sony used it as a hype machine before launch) and I cant remember the other 2.(It was in a thread here somewhere if anyone wants to find it.)  The thing is after MGS4 and FF13 theres not alot I'm looking forward to on PS3. GT5 to be honest is of course a good racer, but after playing GT5:P online I'd rather wait for Forza 3, which should be end of next year.

May be true for you but if you look at past sales Forza cannot even hold the motor oil of Gran Turismo. I am not surprised about this too. The unbelievable realism of the cars in Gran Turismo Prologue isn't even tried in Forza.

Forza is picking up steam(if yu look at sales for 1 vs 2.) And the thing is the cars look great in GT5:P but its a racing game simulation, and at that Forza 2 is better.

Edit: From Sony or not thats 2 games less that I understand were in development for over a year. 

 

I think the PS3 continues to get bashed in the media. It seems like everyday some article states the PS3 is doing badly in sales. I think MGS4 is an exception in terms of press. If you play it you'll see that IGN and Gamespot had to give this game a 10. It is that good. I know 8's from Eurogamer and Edge: that just proves that Sony's press issues are not behind them.

I don't know if your talking about graphics, but in terms of gameplay, Forza is generally held to be more realistic than GT. Personally I don't find this a good thing, as I'm not a big fan of simulators.

Edit:  And of course Forza has always been selling to a FAR smaller userbase than GT.

I think both are realistic enough in driving. Most people will drive with help anyway. But the cars are not even comparable.

If you do not care about it have fun with Forza. But please.

Besides for picking up steam. Forza2 has almost reached 4 million. Its a really bad day for Gran Turismo if they cannot sell 10 million. So Forza is a nice knock-off but there is a serious class difference.

So...Froza 2 was bundled...otherwise it was having difficulties to even reach 2 million

check out the MArvel game as well...thats at 3 million thanks to the bundle, it was having trouble reaching 500K

So if there was no bundle theoretically GT 5 Prologue (2.5 million inc. downloads -- figures from SONY) outsold Forza 2

Weren't you one of the people telling me how incredibly well the GT5:P BUNDLE sold?

that was different as it wasn't compulsory bundle (and it was limited)...this time M$ was forcing forza 2 onto reluctant gamers....victimizing them in a way
