I don't know if your talking about graphics, but in terms of gameplay, Forza is generally held to be more realistic than GT
I think both are realistic enough in driving. Most people will drive with help anyway. But the cars are not even comparable.

The first looks like GTA comic look the second like real life.
If you do not care about it have fun with Forza. But please.
Besides for picking up steam. Forza2 has almost reached 4 million. Its a really bad day for Gran Turismo if they cannot sell 10 million. So Forza is a nice knock-off but there is a serious class difference.
